Dreamcatcher Workshop June 2018

Chantal Chagnon will be hosting a Dreamcatcher workshop – Sunday, June 17, 2018

History of the Dreamcatcher
Dreamcatchers are a traditional aboriginal craft found predominantly in Lakota, Ojibwa, Navaho and Cree culture. The weaving catches the bad dreams and nightmares entangling them within the web. The good dreams to flow through the web and slide down to the feathers to the dreamer. In the Morning, the bad dreams and nightmares entangled in the web evaporate in the sunlight, just as drops of dew on a spider’s web. The feathers take the hopes and dreams on the wings of the bird’s spirits to creator.
